My favorite things about Summer are always working in the garden with my two children. You know children learn so much more when they can actually get their "hands dirty".

Canning peaches for the very first time. Making peach jelly and cranberry/banana jam.

Swimming at the YMCA with the kids. My 3 year old start swimming by himself this year.

What I enjoy about Fall:

Most of all my wedding anniversary (12 years this month)

Entering the Mid-South Fair (even if it isn't at our beloved fairgrounds)

Baking, baking, baking

Jackets and long soft scarves~

I think you hit on most of my favorites, though I have to include big pitchers of freshly-made lemonade and how satisfying a cold beer can be, especially if you're lingering on a porch somewhere with friends.

as for fall, I'm ready for apples in all forms, corduroy pants, carving pumpkins, the first breath of cool air when you step outside to get the paper.
