Special Order Info

What should I special order?

You should special order if:

  • you need more than a dozen of a certain flavor
  • you need more than 3 dozen items total
  • you need a whole cake or whole pie
  • you need mini-cupcakes. These wee morsels are ONLY available by order.
  • you need vegan items

Any single serving item (brownies, cupcakes, cookies, etc) must be ordered by the dozen per flavor. This is because we can’t make just 3 red velvet cupcakes! The only cupcake flavors available in amounts less than a dozen are prozac, plain jane, capote, classic, frankly scarlett, and pucker up because we make these every day. Same goes with chocolate chip cookies and toffee bars; you’re welcome to order less than a dozen of those items.

How much notice do you need for a special order?

We ask for two business days’ notice (remember we’re closed on Sunday and Monday!), but if you’re in a pickle and need something quickly, it never hurts to ask, right? If we can squeeze it in, we will!

Please remember also that the two-day-notice is a guideline, not a guarantee; when we’re booked, we’re booked regardless of how many days.

We are a small bakery and we do book up, especially on weekends. We bake ’round the clock to accommodate our orders and once we’re at capacity, we simply cannot take more orders… and no amount of name-dropping, threatening, cajoling, whining, or begging will make our ovens cook any faster than they already are!

If you have a particularly large order (example: 500 cupcakes for your wedding), the more notice we have, the better.

Why do you need my credit card number for a special order?dsc_3951

Some people don’t show up to get their dessert. I know… crazy. I think I would forget my name before I forgot dessert, but so it goes. We only run the number in case of a no-show and even then we hold the dessert for one day and call the customer to say, “This is your pie calling and I miss you.”

If you are uncomfortable leaving your credit card number, we certainly understand and you are welcome to pre-pay for your order.

Cancellations

Life happens. Events get canceled; plans change.

If you need to cancel an order, don’t be embarrassed, however all cancellations must be made at least 2 business days in advance. Since we do turn orders down once we’re booked to capacity, we have to have our game plan ready.
