Books for Foodies

The Delicious Details

Feeding Memphis / A Celebration of the City’s Eclectic Cuisine celebrates the local cuisine of Memphis through a Collection of Stories, Photographs, and Recipes. It can be viewed as a culinary postcard of the Bluff City, yet as a 192-page hardbound coffee table edition that presents the backstories of 28 diverse locally owned restaurants, a more accurate description may be an epicurean literary tale with a engaging cast of characters.

Author Michael Glasgow conceived this project based upon an underlying theme of Dine Local / Give Local, and consistent with such, $10.00 from the sale of each copy will be donated by the publisher to the Mid-South Food Bank to help address the issue of food insecurity in the greater Memphis area. Food brings people together. You are encouraged to join in this Culinary Celebration by purchasing a copy, and by doing so, become a Philanthropic Foodie.

The Art of Dining in Memphis 3 by Joy Bateman is a Restaurant Guide with signature recipes from the chefs of the 52 different restaurants in Memphis featured. She describes the food and atmosphere of the locally owned businesses and complements each eatery with her own illustrations.

Definitely a must-have for any Memphis foodie!
