You're Invited: Muddy's Turns Ten

Muddy’s Turns 10!!!

Ten years ago- with a handful of employees, mixing bowls from Kat’s home, garage sale furniture, recipes from Kat’s home kitchen, zero experience, and no fanfare whatsoever- we opened the doors to Muddy’s.  Over the last ten years, each one of our customers, coworkers, suppliers, and friends- have shared something special, something of their own lives, and it’s changed our lives.

To celebrate, we have a WHOLE WEEK’S worth of fun and games, special backstage events, giveaways, and opportunities to get involved... all sorts of super fun ways to thank YOU for ten great years!

Monday (2/26): Muddy’s Turns 10 Cookie Decorating Party! (edit: sold out)
Try your hand at decorating not one, not two, but THREE birthday themed cookies!!! Cookies, icing, and sprinkles are provided as well as a cup of Muddy's tangy "Mom's Spiced Tea!" Have a fun time with people you love and leave with your very own creation that you can EAT!

Tuesday (2/27): Muddy’s Test Kitchen Community Meeting
Want to be the first to taste a product in the works?! Interested in learning more about our test kitchen? We want you to be a part of the fun!   Diana, our MudLab president, will give you a behind the scenes look at our Test Kitchen (which we affectionately call MudLab)  Kat, mother of the birthday child (Muddy's), will lead a tasting!
You, an awesome Muddy's fan, will get to taste multiple items our test kitchen has in the works. You'll also have the opportunity to give feedback, ask questions, and share any burning ideas for products you have.

Wednesday (2/28): Midnight Champagne Toast
The first Muddy's, located on Sanderlin Ave., opened 10 years ago on leap day. Since there is no February 29th this year, we thought, what better way to celebrate than a 12am champagne toast where it all began! We'll provide the champagne and cupcakes free of charge...you just bring your Muddy's-loving-self! Come hang out with Kat and the Muddy's gnomies, and reward yourself with some treats for being such a wonderful customer and making our 10th birthday possible! Doors open at 11:30pm on February 28th.  (pajamas welcome!)

Please RSVP to give us a head count for cupcakes and champagne.

Thursday (3/1) & Friday (3/2): Muddy’s Kitchen Tour & Tasting (edit: sold out... but no worries, there will be more soon!)
Peek behind the curtain to learn how it all works and have a blast with our team. Our tours are open to the public and occur once a month at our Broad Avenue baking kitchen.  For an action-packed 2 hours, you'll watch our baking team create cupcakes, pies, and other treats while learning some secrets of our trade.  Meet the real people who make the Muddy's treats you love, and try your hand at a few baking tasks. But don't worry, we won't make you wash dishes!
Decorate cupcakes and try your hand at cake inscriptions...But we know what you'll really come for: the tastings! But we're not just going to let you grab a Frankly Scarlett cupcake and run. You'll learn the difference between eating and tasting to experience how our team assesses product quality.

Saturday (3/3): FESTIVAL OF FUN!
We want to say thank you to our customers and the community with a fun time on our Midtown Muddy's Lawn. There will be samples galore, face painting, and even a cake walk with PRIZES! We'll also have special guests from local businesses we've been proud to work with over the years like Thistle and Bee and Dr. Bean's Coffee and Tea! Don't miss out... a celebration like this only comes around every 10 years.
