Muddy's plus Organic Valley equals Awesome!

Friends, we are SUPER EXCITED to share with you that we have UPPED our milk game at Muddy’s! We recently switched the brand of organic milk we use in all of goodies and coffee to Organic Valley, and we think you’ll love the taste even more!
Organic Valley is THE gold standard in organic milk. They are a farmer co-op and have been farmer owned since 1988. They do not use hormones, antibiotics or toxic pesticides. Plus, their cows get significantly more open-air pasture time than the leading competitors... over 7 months of the year (they still come inside when it's extra hot or extra cold!)  In fact, many of the farms in the Organic Valley coop are Amish- a culture renowned for ethical farming and craftsman mentality.  So why the switch? It’s better quality AND better tasting!

But wait... Did you know we have used organic milk in our baked foods since we opened in 2008, plus as the default in all our espresso drinks since Midtown’s opening? We are always seeking out the highest quality ingredients, and we’re so happy to welcome Organic Valley to the Muddy’s family!

Missi from Organic Vallley says, "Organic Valley is a national cooperative of more than 2,000 certified organic family farms with a regional production model, which ensures as many products as possible stay in the region where they were produced. As a cooperative, the business is governed by a board elected by the farmer membership, and they set their own fair and stable pay price that is not affected by market trends. The business is committed to a three-tier definition of sustainability: Socially, we support local economies, fair trade and other important programs that uplift people. Economically, we ensure our member-farms as well as those from whom we source other ingredients are paid a living wage. Environmentally, we farm organically, which reduces the harmful chemical burden on the planet, and rather than purchasing “energy offsets” and going on with business as usual, we have installed (and will continue to install) renewable energy projects at our facilities and member-farms to create new, clean energy right where it’s needed."
