A Few of Gnomies' Favorite Things
Brown paper packages tied up with string, these are a few of our favorite things!  Check out the special things that make Christmas feel like magic to our gnomies:
  • Christmas lights, cozy fires, snow, puppy Christmas sweaters, music, It's a Wonderful Life, wreaths, cookies - Alyssa
  • "Christmas Smell" on the stovetop, specifically the "Clarence Moody's Holiday Punch" recipe in the Memphis Junior League cookbook classic, Party Potpourri, watching Charlie Brown Christmas to kick off the season, early morning coffee with Thomas & the dogs with the Christmas tree lights on while it's still dark outside -Kat G.
  • Watching the Muppet Christmas Carol with my mama & the pecan cookies that she makes   -Nicola
  • Driving at night and seeing Christmas trees in people's windows, hugging my family when I get home- those kinds of hugs that are long and full like "ugh, you're finally home!", watching the live-action Grinch while wrapping presents & quoting the entire thing, seeing dogs in sweaters, and of course, listening to my favorite carols played by my husband on the recorder *eye roll* -Hannah Lauren

  • Aunt Burnita's holiday cheese ball, glow and twinkle of lights, large overstuffed stockings, large family dinners, sound of children laughing, retelling of old stories, all of my children are home :-) - Andrea
  • Blue Christmas lights and the fake fireplace video on Netflix - Emily W.
  • Homemade hot chocolate & peppermint bark, having a list of Christmas moveies we HAVE to watch every year (Elf, Christmas Vacation, The Santa Clause, The Grinch, etc.) -Amy
  • Watching The Polar Express on Thanksgiving Eve as a season kickoff, sleeping in my parents' room every Christmas Eve since childhood, "Peace on Earth/Little Drummer Boy" by Bowie and Bing, Christmas morning brunch, the way our house has a soft, constant glow from Christmas lights both inside and outside -Kirby
  • "All I Want for Christmas Is You" by Mariah Carey, Snickerdoodle anything, Starbucks red cups, Michael Bublé, The Grinch with Jim Carrey, Hallmark movies, opening gifts right when midnight strikes -Armie
  • Driving around looking at all the Christmas lights! - Mel
  • "Mary, Did You Know?" but the CeeLo Green version, "Carol of the Bells" by Trans Siberian Orchestra, peppermint bark & all things chocolate + peppermint, White Christmas and cheesy Hallmark holiday movies, my Grandma's apple pound cake... and brown paper packages tied up with string -Cassie
  • Spending time with those I love & making new memories -Meg
