Working at Muddy's

Muddy's is an artisan bakery in the heart of Memphis, TN.  We bake fresh, from scratch cookies, cupcakes, pies, cakes, and so much more and we take LOADS of pride in delivering top-notch customer service for our guests.
Everyone does a bit of everything... we all assist customers, make cookies, and wash dishes. If this kind of teamwork sounds like your jam, you're probably in the right place!
We aren't perfect and don't expect you to be.  We DO expect professionalism, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn-- both from ourselves and from our teammates. We are proud to make great food with people we respect for a community we love.
There's no higher compliment than a job application-- thank you!
-Kat Gordon, owner
and Andrea Fortwendel, general manager

***Attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions are VERY important in a bakery setting!  Incomplete applications are not considered.***

How to Ace the Interview: Some tips & tricks to make yourself stand out from the crowd!

We are all about clear expectations and transparent processes. We want to work with fantastic people AND believe in giving our team mates the information they need to succeed.

  • Be on time (or 5 min early) for interview.  If you show up late for an interview, we can only assume you'll be late to work too.
  • Dress for success. Our job can sometimes be messy, but we still want our appearance to communicate that we are professionals who take pride in ourselves, our space, and our products!  When you look like you made an effort for the interview, we feel confident that you'll show up to work looking like a pro.
  • Ask questions about the job! An interview goes two ways-- BOTH parties are trying to assess if this is a good fit. You're seriously considering spending a lot of time with us... be sure to ask the questions that will help you decide if this is for you.
