For our kickoff episode of Season 2, we celebrate a beloved Muddy's tradition: Christmas in July. We bake tasty double chocolate peppermint cookies-- the perfect holiday treat that is ultimately designed to enjoy with ice cream! What better bake for Christmas cheer during the hottest month of the year?

Ingredient List for the Bake-a-long:
226 g (1 c) butter, room temp
200 g (1 c) sugar
150 g (3/4 c, packed) brown sugar
2 tsp vanilla
1⁄4 - 1⁄2 tsp peppermint oil or extract
300 g (2 c) AP flour
75 g (3/4 c) cocoa powder
1 tsp baking soda
1⁄4 tsp salt
170 g (1 c) semisweet chocolate chips
