staff pick: feeding memphis (the book)!

I think all of our awesome customers know by now that everything baked in the Muddy's Kitchen is pretty dang good, but I am not sure how many of you are in the loop about our newer merchandise. That's why this week's staff pick is a very special one: a beautiful book entitled Feeding Memphis: A Celebration of the City's Eclectic Cuisine, available at both Muddy's Grind House and Muddy's Bake Shop!

Written by Michael Glasgow, Feeding Memphis is more than just a stunning biography of the food of our beloved city. It's even more than a book of beautiful food photography and yummy secret recipes. It's an ongoing project based on the Dine Local / Give Local theme, with $10 of every purchase going to Mid-South Food Bank; and we at Muddy's Memphis are 100% behind that! We are proud to be one of the 28 local food businesses featured in the book, and lucky you! We also donated our Strawberry Rhubarb Pie with Crumble Topping recipe to this project, as well.

So whether you have a bare spot on your coffee table or you know of one on a friend's, we encourage you to come to either Muddy's location this week (or honestly anytime--we plan to keep this beauty in stock) and become a Philanthropic Foodie by taking home a copy or two of Michael Glasgow's Feeding Memphis!
