Episode 9 is a just a bake-a-long (no variety bit) but still packed with goodies. We are baking (drum roll please).... "barely cherry" heart cookies!!! These are simple to make but do have multiple "acts", hence the bake-a-long only for this one.
This beloved Muddy's favorite is just as much fun to make as to eat and I'm so thrilled to share it with y'all :)

Ingredient List for the Bake-a-long:
Cookies
- 450 g (3 cup) all purpose flour
- ½ tsp salt
- ¾ lb (1 ½ cup) butter, softened
- 130 g (1 cup) powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- red/pink food color (optional)
Icing
- 5 Tbl butter, softened
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2-3 Tbl cherry juice
- xxx sugar
- red/pink food color (optional)
- sprinkles (optional)

Bake-a-long chapter begins at 1:08
--The type of cherry juice you choose matters! I used tart cherry juice (unsweetened) to get a not-super-sweet cherry flavor. Use the juice from a jar of maraschino cherries if you want a "punchy", sweeter flavor.
