We load our decadent, old-fashioned cooked coconut filling with sweet shredded coconut and deeply toasted, nutty pecans before slathering it between two layers of our homemade devil's food dark chocolate cake. Then we ice the cakes with a just-right spread of light, luscious chocolate buttercream.
Very generously serves: 10-14 adults (8 inch cake) or 4-6 adults (6 inch cake).
